SecureFTP, a SFTP (SSH), FTPS (SSL) and normal FTP windows client
optimized for XP is now available. SecureFTP supports Windows 98,
NT, W2K, and XP.
The SecureFTP main window has two complete explorer style frames
that can contain either a local file system and/or a remote file
system. A tabbed output window at the bottom contains areas for
detailed FTP messages, extended host directory information, file
transfer data and a real time DUMeter for graphical file transfer
speed displays.
The Site Profile Manager, maintains host information for commonly
accessed SSH, SSL and normal FTP style hosts. SecureFTP also includes
many popular anonymous FTP sites. Hosts are displayed in the tree
view on the left, and sites can be dragged from folder to folder.
Access to detailed security related information required for SSH
and SSL FTP hosts is controlled by the profile manager.
The Security Manager maintains the security parameters required
by SFTP (SSH) and FTPS (SSL) style hosts. Certificates can be utilized
by both SFTP and FTPS for user authentication, as well as the popular
encrypted password authentication.
The global options dialog provides one central location to define
user specific information that is common to all FTP, SFTP, and FTPS
hosts. This includes information such as the user email address
required by anonymous logins, default download directory for the
QuickLogin dialog bar, firewall access, and default data transfer
file types.
The Customize menu allows user customization of keyboard shortcuts,
menu display and provides the ability to include access to popular
programs such as notepad from SecureFTP.
The TipWindows enables user customization of the foreground and
background colors of the tooltips displayed throughout SecureFTP.
